CHIEF REVENUE/CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Reports To: Commissioner

Summary

§   The Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer serves as a senior member of the Atlantic 10 Conference leadership team and is responsible for leading revenue generation, marketing, brand, and audience growth strategies. The position provides strategic leadership in identifying and developing new commercial opportunities; building meaningful corporate partnerships; strengthening the A10 brand; growing audiences and engagement; and enhancing the value and marketability of Conference championships, events, and other assets.

Primary Responsibilities

§   Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue through corporate partnerships, sponsorships, new business opportunities, and other commercial initiatives.

§   Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective corporate partners and identify opportunities to create meaningful, long-term partnerships.

§   Lead the development, packaging, valuation, and activation of commercial assets.

§   Provide strategic leadership for the A10 brand and oversee marketing initiatives that increase awareness, engagement, affinity, and audience growth.

§   Develop integrated marketing strategies for Conference championships, events, and other key properties.

§   Work collaboratively with communications, championships, and member institutions to create compelling fan experiences and maximize the visibility of Conference initiatives.

§   Identify opportunities to develop new events, properties, platforms, and partnerships that create additional value and revenue.

§   Utilize market research, consumer insights, and data to inform marketing and audience development strategies.

§   Manage relationships with agencies, consultants, vendors, and external partners.

§   Serve as a member of the Conference’s senior leadership team and perform other duties as assigned by the Commissioner.

Qualifications

§   Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

§   Significant progressive experience in sports, marketing, revenue generation, corporate partnerships, media, or a related field.

§   Demonstrated success in developing and executing revenue growth, sponsorship, partnership, or marketing strategies.

§   Strong understanding of brand development, audience growth, consumer marketing, and commercial strategy.

§   Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with senior executives and diverse internal and external stakeholders.

§   Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

§   High degree of integrity, sound judgment, and personal accountability.

The mission of the Atlantic 10 is to provide an enhanced student-athlete experience through 23 nationally competitive championship sports. The basketball-centric conference is committed to integrity, educational excellence and providing quality equitable championship experiences for its student-athletes, coaches, and support staff.
