Responsibilities
Manage office operations including coordinating the office calendar, maintaining supply inventory and workroom space, coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries, coordinating office activities and serving as liaison to building management.
Assist with all aspects of conference meeting planning, both virtual and in-person.
Support the content team by serving as a primary communications contact in select sports, responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, working as the primary liaison with media relations contacts, writing press releases, championship preparation and coverage and administering awards programs in those sports.
Provide project support to the Content Team, including but not limited to, assisting with executing social media and digital strategy, website and social media channel maintenance, updating record books and compiling data and analytics.
Assist with student-athlete engagement, including SAAC, and conference outreach initiatives.
Assist in the general administration of championships and sport administration operations.
Support compliance & governance projects, including but not limited to assisting with the conference’s National Letter of Intent program (NLI).
Assist the Commissioner and members of the conference staff on special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Prior work experience in intercollegiate or professional athletics required.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
Ability to effectively work with internal and external colleagues required.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and creative environment required.
Proficiency in working in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required. Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) preferred.
Travel and evening and weekend work is occasionally required.
The Conference currently offers a flexible work structure; however, a successful candidate will be required to work in‐person at the Conference office in Boston, MA at least two days a week. These policies are subject to change.
