
Summary of Position
The part time Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the administration of all aspects of the sport program. This includes, but is not limited to coaching and teaching of students, recruiting, game and practice preparation and execution, compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations, participation as a member of the College community and with all collaborative departmental functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrating excellent teaching and coaching competencies with regard to:(a) sport skill instruction (b) motivation (c) tactical strategies (d) physical training and fitness.
Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behaviour with regard to adherence to NCAA, Conference, College, and Department of Athletics rules, policies and expectations including commitment to lifelong learning, sportsmanship on and off the field of play, positive leadership and the desire and ability to act as a positive role model and representative of the College at all times.
Active game preparation through scouting, image analysis, strategy discussions, and travel arrangements.
Assist the head coach in all areas of implementing a competitive, successful educational program emphasizing the quality experience for the student athlete. While the ability to show initiative and work independently is essential. All activities will be under the direction and supervision of the head coach.
Developing and maintaining relationships with members of the department and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletic program.
Developing and maintaining relationships with members of alumni.
Provide student-athletes with opportunities that allow for social, emotional, and academic development, in addition to athletic success through close interpersonal guidance, mentoring and counselling.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-3 years required and 4-7 years preferred of relevant professional experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Track record of achieving exceptional results.

YOUR COMPENSATION
New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
The salary for this part time position is $16,640 annually.
