Initiated in 1995, the mission of the Cathy & John Pelusi Family Life Skills Program is to prepare student-athletes for success while in college and for life after college. The Senior Associate Athletic Director, Student Life oversees the student-athlete development and life skills program by providing student-athletes the opportunity to prepare for success academically, athletically and in their personal growth and development.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree. 7 years’ experience performing student-athlete development related work.
Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years performing student-athlete development related work including experience leading and managing a unit of student-athlete development professionals at the Division 1 level of college athletics. Experience overseeing and/or developing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging programming for student-athletes and staff.
An equivalent combination of work experience and high-level playing experience may be substituted at the discretion of the University.
Implements and conducts a life skills program for student-athletes aimed at enhancing the total development of individuals. Leads team and collaborates to enhance efforts. Develops and implements strategic planning, short- and long-term departmental goals, and new programs. Evaluates success and increases effectiveness of programs.
Essential Functions
Implement and conduct a developmental life skills program for student athletes aimed to enhance individuals in all aspects of student-athlete development. Develop and/or enhance programs focused on the key commitment areas of the Cathy and John Pelusi Family Life Skills Program.
