Lake Forest College is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Volleyball Coach. The position is a full-time, non-teaching faculty/administrative staff appointment, including benefits, within the Forester athletic department. The chosen candidate will support the mission and goals of the department and College.
Responsibilities: This position, under the supervision of the Assistant Vice-President for Athletics, will help establish the inaugural Men’s Volleyball Program at the College for the 2026-27 academic year. The position is responsible for the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, contest scheduling, budget and equipment management, and coaching and mentorship of student-athletes and assistant coaching staff. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting academic success and the health and well-being of student athletes, leadership and career development, community & alumni engagement, and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice-President for Athletics. Evening and weekend hours are required.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Previous college coaching, recruiting, and administrative experience preferred.
Strong commitment to working in intercollegiate athletics and the principles that guide Division III athletics.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to take initiative, work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: $55,000-$65,000
