Duties and Responsibilities:
· Teaches techniques to women’s tennis team members
· Develops the team for outside intercollegiate competition
· Oversees daily practice
· Promotes the women’ tennis program
· Recruits talented student-athletes for the women’s tennis program
· Performs administrative duties pertaining to the women’s tennis program
· Assists in the academic development of women’s tennis student-athletes
· Attends all mandatory coaches/staff meetings
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics in conjunction with the women’s tennis program
· Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as required
· In addition to hourly salary, these positions also provide 55% tuition remission discount and teaching lesson opportunities
Requirements of Work:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree
· At least 2 years of coaching experience at the collegiate or club level or any equivalent combination of experience and training
· Knowledge of and the ability to ensure compliance with NCAA Division I and conference rules and regulations and to operate within these guidelines
· Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills
· Excellent coaching skills
· Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
· Ability to initiate and follow through with work responsibilities
